This guide explains how to use the Nefeli Allure Ⅳ Anal Edition, a vibrating anal plug: why anal play starts with waiting rather than pushing, and why your clitoris should not be left out.
What it is
This is a vibrating plug made of smooth, rounded, non-porous silicone. At its base is a flexible loop that stays outside your body. The loop does two jobs: it stops the plug from slipping all the way in, and it gives you something to hold when you take it out. The plug looks long in the box, but that length includes the loop and the connecting piece. The part that goes inside is much shorter, and about 3.3 cm across at its widest.
Anything that goes into the anus needs something like this at its base (more on anal safety). The rectum has no end point that stops an object, so a toy without a stopper can be drawn inside.
Two muscles, and only one listens to you
Your anus is closed by two rings of muscle. The outer one you can tighten and relax on purpose. The inner one you cannot. It relaxes by itself, when it is ready.
This is why pushing does not work. If something presses against a closed inner ring, it hurts, the hurt makes you tense, and tensing closes it further. Trying hard to relax adds pressure too. What works is the opposite: rest the lubricated tip against the entrance and hold still. After a while, you will usually feel the inner ring give a little. That is the moment to let it in a little further. Gently bearing down, the way you would on the toilet, helps some women.
There is no deadline. Knowing that you can stop at any time makes it easier for your body to let go. Some women take several tries, on different days, before they are comfortable.
Lube is not optional
The anus does not make its own lubrication. Without enough lube, the lining can tear. Use a water-based lube, much more than you would for vaginal play, on the plug and on yourself, and add more as you go. If it starts to drag, stop and add more before you continue.
Start smaller if this is new
This plug suits you best if you have some experience with anal play already. If this is your first time, or you feel nervous about it, a single lubricated finger is a better first step. Reactions to anal touch vary a lot between women, and even for one woman from one day to the next. Some love it, some do not, and some find it fine but nothing special. All of these are normal, and whether to try it is up to you.
The skin around the outer rim of the anus is sensitive in its own right. Resting the vibrating tip there, without going in at all, is also a way to use this toy.
Keep your clitoris involved
For many women, anal play on its own is not what brings them to orgasm. Adding clitoral stimulation at the same time is often what makes it satisfying. You can use your hand, a partner's hand, or an external vibrator on your clitoris while the plug is in.
Vibration inside the anus can feel different from vibration in the vagina. Some women feel it as deeper and more spread out, across the lower belly and pelvic floor.
Combining it with a vaginal toy
You can also have the plug in your anus and a separate toy in your vagina. Some women feel this as a broader fullness rather than one sharp point, and orgasm can take longer. That is a change in timing, not a sign that something is wrong. Adjust or stop based on how it feels to you.
Taking it out
Relax first, then take it out slowly. Do not pull hard on the loop.
Who it suits
This plug suits you if you have some experience with anal play and want to add vibration, or if you want to combine anal fullness with clitoral or vaginal stimulation.
It is not the right choice if you have never tried anal play, if you want a remote, if you want to use it in the bath, or if you want a soft, squishy feel. This plug is on the firmer side.
Safety and care
More: lube and silicone, what water ratings mean, when to check with a doctor.
- Stop if you feel pain or numbness, or see any bleeding. If pain or numbness continues after you take it out, see a doctor.
- Once it has been used anally, keep it for anal play only. Never let it touch the inside of the vagina, even after washing.
- Do not use it if you have a hemorrhoid flare-up, an anal fissure, an infection, or are recovering from anal or rectal surgery. If you are pregnant or unsure, talk to a doctor first.
- Use a water-based lubricant. Silicone-based lube can damage some silicone toys.
- Wash it under running warm water with mild soap, carefully, including around the loop. The manufacturer says it can be rinsed, but it should not be soaked. Keep it out of the bath. Do not boil it.
- Non-porous silicone can be cleaned thoroughly, which is important for an anal toy.
What to take away
Anal play starts with waiting. Use far more lube than you think you need, rest the tip at the entrance and hold still until the inner muscle opens on its own, stop if anything hurts, and keep your clitoris involved. Once the plug has been used anally, keep it for anal play only.
