Toys list a water rating (an IP code) that tells you which water test they passed. IPX6 and IPX7 are different tests: one is spraying, the other is dunking.
- IPX6: a test showing protection against strong jets of water. The manufacturer says the IPX6 toys in our shop can be rinsed, but should not be soaked. Keep them out of the bath.
- IPX7: passed a test of being submerged in up to 1 m of water for up to 30 minutes. That is a test result, not by itself permission to use the toy in the bath. Use it in the bath or shower only if the manufacturer says it is suitable; for the IPX7 toys in our shop, the manufacturer does.
- No rating listed: follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions and do not submerge it.
Whatever the rating, avoid very hot water, and dry the toy, including the charging contacts, before you charge it.
